Percocet, a combined opioid/non-opioid pain reliever (which combines oxycodone and acetaminophen), is launched in 1971 by Endo Pharmaceuticals. Percocet is used to treat moderate to severe acute (short-term) pain. Percocet is considered a schedule 2 controlled substance in the United States.
