Ottoman Turks introduce coffee to Constantinople

Coffee is introduced to the power center of Constantinople by the Ottoman Turks. The Turks add different spices to coffee and create a spicy, energizing concoction. Clove, cardamom, cinnamon and anise are added to the drink, a spicy beverage that is still enjoyed to this day in Istanbul.
