Once approved under the Marihuana Medical Access Regulations (MMAR), individuals can access a legal supply of cannabis in three different ways: they can apply under the MMAR to access Health Canada’s supply of dried marihuana, they can apply for a personal-use license, which allows them to produce their own supply, or they can designate someone to cultivate cannabis for them (in that case, they will need to obtain a designated-person production license).
