Colombia fully legalises medical marijuana

In 2015, the president of Colombia signed a decree that fully legalized medical marijuana. Up until then, Colombia technically allowed for the manufacture, sale, export and scientific use of marijuana, but it was not formally regulated. The president mentioned that while medical marijuana is now legal and anyone wishing to grow it can now apply to the National Narcotics Council for a license, the country will still fight illegal drug production.
