Coffee - also referred to as the "Wine of Islam"-- spreads throughout the Ottoman Empire and becomes a popular items in the diet of all classes. Sultan Suleiman the Great bans coffee in 1542, but this doesn't stop coffee houses from multiplying in Constantinople.
