The practice of smoking is brought from the Americas to Europe by French and English voyagers

While spanish friars in the Caribbean and Mexico believed tobacco was a devil's weed and that traditional indigenous uses of tobacco were sinful, French and English voyagers introduced the practice of smoking to people back home and later to the rest of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
