Canada's Controlled Drugs and Substances Act is developed

Canada's Controlled Drugs and Substances Act is Canada's federal drug control statute. It was developed in line with US's ambitious zero-tolerance ideals during the United Nations Decade against Drug Abuse (1991-2000) and established eight schedules of controlled substances and two classes of precursors.
